Kaara Fankaara seems to be addressing a black, dangerous snake that represents love here. Kaara is Dark, Black, and fankaara (more often funkaar/funkaara) is a hissing sound made by a snake. So here Kaara Fankaara means a dark snake's hissing, which can attack suddenly out of nowhere. The idea is that love is like a dangerous snake that suddenly comes and attacks you and you don't even realize when it happens.

* good man di laalten is a phrase with multiple usages. One simple usage is when someone tells you something good, and you say 'good man di laalten' to express your happiness for the same. The phrase was also used as part of 'good man di laalten, bad man da diva' meaning "good man's lantern, and bad man's earthen lamp," apparently by the Indians opposing the British, calling them the good men and still asking them to return, rejecting their so-called favors. But the one that seems most appropriate here is about a blind man who used to go around at night with a lantern, just so that others could see properly, and hence was called a good man.

O re rangreza is a beautifully written Qawwali from the point of view of a protagonist who turns to God when all his paths seem to be closed and so he submits himself completely to Him, requesting for help in these tough times, and to show him the path, whatever way possible. The Qawwali is performed by Sukhwinder Singh, along with Murtuza Mustafa and Qadir Mustafa, sons of Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan.

[The idea is that you put as much pressure on my heart as needed, and make a wick of it, that you can use to light the lamp in the light of which I'll be able to see the right path in life and walk on it. A beautiful metaphor is used with the lamp wick here, as you have to put a bit of pressure to the cotton to make a wick which can burn for long in a lamp.]

[Chinnamma Chilakamma part is Telugu. However, the words after chinnamma chilakamma seem to have been changed. Chinnamma is Telugu for mother's sister (chinna=small/young, amma=mother), and chilaakkamma is a word used for parrot. In the original song from Meenaxi where it originated, chooRu-chooRu-chooRu was used. ChooDu/ChooRu means 'look.']

sufi ke sulfe ki lau uTh ke kehti hai
aatish ye bujh ke bhi jalti hi rehti hai

the flame of the 'sulfa' of a sufi goes up and says
that this fire keeps on burning even when it's extinguished.

[Sulfa is a wad of tobacco (or weed) that is smoked in a hookah or a chilam. The meaning here is that the way the smoke of tobacco is strong enough to keep one addicted to it even after the actual flame has burnt and it's only smoldering, love also keeps its fires alive even after the flame is extinguished. The 'Sufi' being talked about here is the heart.]
