Daambar or Dambar is a Hindi/ Marathi word which simply means coal tar.

It's a relatively less used word, especially in Hindi Khadi boli speaking areas as coal tar is often called tarcoal (तारकोल) in a Hindi-like version of the English word.

The word Daambar is used in the Khoobsurat song 'baal khade' composed by Sneha Khanwalkar and written by Sunil Choudhary. The song is sung by Sunidhi Chauhan.

Katiyabaaz [Devanagari:कटियाबाज़] is an upcoming Hindi film.

The film apparently revolves around a person who steals electricity by joining wires to working electricity wires. This is often called 'katiya maarna' in Hindi (which comes from 'cut'), and hence the person is called katiyabaaz, an expert in this electricity theft.

Much as I can guess, the person here doesn't really steal this electricity for just himself, he's an electrician who does it for a big number of people in the city of Kanpur, where the story is based.

Amitabh Bachchan tweeted a few days ago that Shamitabh has no particular meaning. However, those who are well acquainted with Hindi or even other Indian languages, can make some guesses here.

Shamitabh doesn't have an existence as a word, but if you say 'Amitabh-Shamitabh', then it would mean something like 'Amitabh etc.' This is the way many Indian words are spoken in casual conversation, e.g. if you say 'bhoot-voot kuch nahi hota', it would translate to, 'there is nothing like ghost or something' or 'there is nothing like ghosts etc.' or simply 'there is nothing like ghosts'. So the appended part is something negligible, not so important, or completely non-existent, depending on situation.

This way, taking a cue from the title, Shamitabh could be an 'et cetera' with respect to Amitabh Bachchan, and it could well be story of someone relatively unknown, unheard, who is trying to become like Amitabh Bachchan.

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is an upcoming Salman Khan movie to be directed by Sooraj Barjatya, who has earlier made Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, and Hum Saath Saath Hain.

The title of the movie is inspired by Meerabai's popular bhajan, Raam Ratan Dhan Paayo, which means 'I have got the wealth of the gem that my Lord's name is.'

Here in the title, Raam is replaced by Prem, and hence it means 'I have got the wealth of the gem of Love.'

Interestingly, as it has happened in earlier Sooraj Barjatya movies, Salman Khan's name in the movie will be Prem, and hence the title could well mean more like the original Bhajan, just replacing the name of Raam with Prem, instead of 'love' that is the meaning of Prem.
